Christmas Festive Board at Rowena Lodge No. 3180
Rowena Lodge No. 3180 recently held its annual Christmas Festive Board, an event that continues to be a highlight of the Lodge calendar. The evening brought together brethren in the true spirit of Freemasonry, combining tradition, fellowship, and seasonal celebration.
The Lodge and dining area were tastefully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the evening. The festive setting reflected the core principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth, which remain central to Freemasonry in the United Kingdom.

Following a well-conducted Lodge meeting, members retired to the Festive Board, where good company and conversation were enjoyed by all. These occasions provide an important opportunity for fellowship, strengthening the bonds between brethren and reinforcing the sense of unity within the Lodge.

Live Christmas Music from Bournemouth Concert Brass
A particularly enjoyable feature of the evening was the live musical accompaniment provided by band members from Bournemouth Concert Brass. The musicians performed a range of well-known Christmas carols, which added greatly to the festive atmosphere and were warmly appreciated by everyone present.
Recognition of Service
During the Festive Board, Worshipful Brother Chris Lockwood, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, made a special presentation to recognise dedicated service within the Province. W.Bro Lockwood presented a gift to Worshipful Brother Geoff Cane-Richardson, the retiring South West Tourists Area Tour Guide, thanking him for his hard work, commitment, and valued service over many years. The presentation was received with warm applause and sincere appreciation.

Traditional Toasts and Fellowship
As is customary at a Masonic Festive Board, a series of traditional toasts were delivered, honouring the Craft, the Lodge, and those who contribute to its continued success. The meal and toasts were enjoyed in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, with festive goodwill evident throughout the evening.
The Christmas Festive Board also provided an opportunity to reflect on the year gone by and to express gratitude for the support and friendship shared among brethren.
Looking Ahead
As the evening drew to a close, thanks were extended to those who organised the event, to Bournemouth Concert Brass for their excellent musical contribution, and to all who continue to support the work and life of the Lodge.
The Christmas Festive Board once again demonstrated the enduring strength and spirit of Rowena Lodge No. 3180. The Lodge now looks forward with optimism to the year ahead, confident that fellowship, tradition, and goodwill will continue to guide its work.
